SWORD Packaged software is a versatile suite that addresses different levels and different domains:

1. For Defense, SWORD Packaged Software products address Command Post training, officers self training thanks to PC- and laptop-based simulations, planning support and infantry training (serious games).
2. For Homeland Security, SWORD targets operations centers (for emergency management planning and training at region and urban levels, training and PC-based training at infrastructure levels for incident managers, and serious games for the training of first responders.

The domains that are targeted are therefore :

• PREPAREDNESS : the goal being to immerse groups or individuals in realistic situations in order to improve their skills and experience
• WARGAMING and RESEARCH: to study and improve operations concepts, courses of actions, techniques and procedures, or to “stimulate” operational systems in order to simulate environment and effects, for system development and acquisition and future decision support.
